Barabara Walters will reveal her annual list of the year's most fascinating people tonight on ABC, and while we don't know who she picked to be number one yet, one selection is already generating a good deal of controversy.
Walters named the Kardashian sisters three of 2011's most interesting celebs, and apparently, people are pissed. "Whether you like or don’t like it the Kardashians were a controversial choice, ”Walters said in a recent interview. “We did Jersey Shore last year and no one objected. [The Kardashians] strike a different chord.”
Yep. More hated than the cast of Jersey Shore. That's how low the Kardashians have sunk. I don't fault Barbara for placing them on the list though. They are fascinating - in the same way a 30-car pileup on the freeway is fascinating.
The interviewer also asked Walters if she thought the Kardashians' fame would last beyond 2011. “I really don’t know what the future is for the Kardashians,” she replied. “What happens next in their future and life I can’t say.” Barbara is a legendary journalist, but she's also a notorious @ss-kisser. When she refuses to give a straight answer when asked about the future of your career, it basically means she thinks your career is ovah!
