Courtney Stodden Rejects Reality Show Offer

Courtney Stodden is famous for no reason; she's a blatant attention whore, and she's hell bent on becoming a millionaire without ever working a day in her life. Basically, she's ideal for reality TV. Court and her husband Doug Hutchison seem like they've been gunning for their own series from the minute they hit the spotlight, so it must have come as quite a shock to Vh1 execs when the creepy couple rejected the network's offer to star in the upcoming Relationship Rehab.

So why did Courtney and Doug - who have made a career of having cameras pointed at them - turn down the chance for more unearned fame and fortune? For one, it seems the money wasn't right. Sources close to the deal say the network offered the couple less than $200,000 to appear in eight episodes of the series. A pretty good paycheck for a 17 year-old nobody, but Courtney and Doug are as delusional as they are disturbing. They mistakenly believe they're worth seven figures.
They also believe they're worthy of their own show, and weren't thrilled with the idea of sharing the spotlight with other couples. But the official reason for the rejection is that 17 year-old Courtney and 51 year-old Doug swear their relationship is perfectly normal and healthy, “So doing a show about going into ‘rehab’ just doesn’t make sense for them," says the source. Don't worry, I'm sure these two have all kinds of rehab in their future. Sadly, they probably have a lucrative reality show deal in their future, as well.
