“Tower Heist” Stole the Number1 Spot at the Box Office


Shooting straight to the top on its opening weekend, "Tower Heist" stole itself the number one spot at the box office over the weekend of November 4-6, 2011.

The Ben Stiller/ Eddie Murphy led comedy caper film raked in $8.5 million on Friday while expected to garner a solid $26 million opening weekend total.

Coming in at a close runner-up after spending opening weekend in the pole position was "Puss In Boots" - with the Salma Hayek/Antonio Banderas fronts animated film conjuring up $7.2 million on Friday to pace towards a weekend take of $25.5 million.

Rounding out the top five at the box office in estimated weekend totals were theater newcomer "Harold And Kumar 3D Christmas" ($15.5 million), followed by "Paranormal Activity 3" ($7.5 million) and the Justin Timberlake/Amanda Seyfried action flick "In Time" ($6 million).
